Official Business. Duly authorized representatives of the ASSOCIATION shall be permitted to transact official ASSOCIATION business on BOARD property prior to or after the conclusion of the EMPLOYEE's workday, provided that this shall not interfere with or disrupt normal school operations. (a) A current list of duly authorized representatives of the ASSOCIATION shall be provided to the Office of the SUPERINTENDENT upon request. (b) Said duly authorized representatives shall be limited to officers or staff agents of the ASSOCIATION and its affiliate.

Official Business. 1350 Personnel may be excused from duty without loss of pay for participation 1351 in Board-approved professional meetings of value to the District. These 1352 absences from duty shall be classified as official business. 1353 Legally authorized expenses, including mileage to people so authorized, 1354 will be allowed.

Association representatives (Members) engaged during the school day on behalf of the Association in negotiations, mediation, bargaining grievances or arbitration with any representative of the Board shall be released from regular duties without loss of salary, if the administration or Board schedules or agrees to a meeting/conference for such purposes during the teacher workday. Such appearance(s) shall not be charged against any other leave in this Agreement.

When special custodial duties are required, the Association shall fill out a building permit and shall pay the actual custodial charges.

Official Business. If an employee is required or ordered to attend a conference or meeting, they are entitled to comp time or overtime as stated in Section 2.B. If an employee elects to attend a conference or meeting for official business that exceeds their tour of duty, they may not earn comp time or overtime. Credit hours cannot be granted in exchange of comp time or overtime.
