OCCUPATION COSTS Clause Samples

The Occupation Costs clause defines the financial responsibilities associated with occupying a property, typically specifying which party is liable for costs such as utilities, rates, insurance, and maintenance during the term of occupation. In practice, this clause clarifies whether the tenant or landlord pays for ongoing expenses like electricity, water, property taxes, and repairs while the premises are in use. Its core function is to allocate the burden of these recurring costs, ensuring both parties understand their obligations and preventing disputes over payment during the lease or occupation period.
