(Additional adoption or paternity leave days may be taken for extenuating circumstances only upon written request to, and written approval by the District Superintendent.) • Maternity leave limited to the time allowed as approved by a qualified medical doctor.

Observance of Religious Holidays. Any student shall be excused if his/her absence was for the purpose of observing a religious holiday consistent with his/her truly held beliefs and the parent or guardian has notified the school in writing at least forty-eight (48) hours prior, (i.e. two business days), to the absence.

Employees shall be allowed leave of absence with pay and without loss of seniority for a maximum of three (3) days per calendar year to those who observe religious holidays not recognized in Article 14.01.
