Common use of Notification and Verification Clause in Contracts

Notification and Verification. Employees are encouraged to provide the Hospital with as much advance notice as possible in the case of illness or injury when they are unable to report for duty as scheduled. Employees shall notify the Hospital at least two (2) hours in advance of the employee’s scheduled shift if the employee is unable to report for duty as scheduled. Whenever possible, the request to use paid sick and safe leave should include the expected duration of the absence.
