Notice of Suspension or Discharge. In the event the Board initiates disciplinary action which may result in the suspension or discharge of an employee, written notice shall be given to the employee and the Union.

Notice of Suspension or Discharge. In all other cases involving the discharge or suspension of an employee, the Company will give three (3) working daysnotice to the employee of the discharge or suspension and the reason there- fore. Such notice shall also be given to the Shop Xxxxxxx and the Local Union office. Within ten (10) days of the conclusion of the seventy-two (72) hour hearing, if the Company intends to discipline the employee, the Company shall send a written notice to the Union Hall via certified mail or UPS delivery and e-mail a copy of the notice to the Local Union. The notice must provide the reason(s), on which the intended discipline is based. Any warning notice or sus- pension shall not remain in effect more than nine (9) months except those warning notices issued pursuant to the so-called “Drinking Rule” covered by separate letter and incorporated by reference into this Agreement. Discipline shall be for just cause. For non-cardinal infractions the employee shall be allowed to remain on the job consistent with Article 7 of the National Master Agreement, without loss of pay unless and until the discharge or suspension is sustained under the grievance procedure.

The Company shall not send disciplinary notices (warning, suspension and or discharge) to an employee’s home. This provision shall only apply to discipline (warning, suspension, discharge) letters pursuant to Article 12 above.

XXXX shall have the right to place an employee on administrative leave with pay during an investigation. Such administrative leave will be with pay at the normal straight time scheduled hours, unless the conduct alleged is determined by XXXX to be egregious in which case XXXX may suspend the employee without pay. The employee and Union will be given the opportunity to respond to the Authority’s determination that the conduct is egregious at the time the suspension is issued. If discipline is issued, any suspension without pay may be included as a part of any subsequent grievance. If discipline does not occur, the employee will be paid their normal straight-time scheduled hours for the period of the unpaid suspension.

Notice of Suspension or Discharge. Prior to the suspension or discharge of an employee, Plant Management will, if such employee is in the plant, provide a reasonable opportunity for the employee to interview the Committeeperson and in appropriate circumstances Management will meet with the employee and/or Committeeperson before the employee leaves the plant. The Plant Management agrees promptly upon such suspension or discharge, to notify in writing, the Committeeperson on the shift of the suspension or discharge and reason therefore.
