The "Normal Duty Day" clause defines the standard working hours or shift duration expected of employees under a contract. Typically, it specifies the start and end times of a regular workday, the number of hours considered a full shift, and may outline any exceptions or variations for specific roles or days. For example, it might state that a normal duty day is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. This clause ensures both parties have a clear understanding of daily work expectations, helping to prevent disputes over working hours and overtime.
Normal Duty Day. A full-time teacher's normal duty day, inclusive of lunch as determined by the supervising principal, shall be eight (8) hours.
