Nonprofit Organization. Nonprofit organization" means any agency, institution or organization which is, or is owned and operated by one or more corporations or associations no part of the net earnings of which inures, or may lawfully inure, to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual and which has a territory of operations that may extend to a neighborhood or community region of the State of Maine. Nonprofit Organization. The School shall be organized as a Florida nonprofit organization.
Nonprofit Organization. A corporation that was formed under the Washington Nonprofit Corporation Act to pursue a stated goal without the intention of distributing excess revenue to its members, directors, or officers. Off-Site Hazardous Waste Treatment and Storage Hazardous waste treatment and storage facilities that treat and store waste from generators on properties other than those on which the off-site facility is located. Police Facility A facility used for the purposes of law enforcement or other functions of police departments. Professional/Business Office A place of employment providing professional, administrative, business or governmental services other than production, distribution, sale or repair of goods or commodities. Public Agency A public agency is: a) any state board, commission, committee, department, educational institution, or other state agency which is created by or pursuant to statute, other than courts and the legislature; b) any county, city, school district, special purpose district, or other municipal corporation or political subdivision of the State of Washington; c) any sub-agency of a public agency which is created by or pursuant to statute, ordinance, or other legislative act, including but not limited to planning commissions, library or park boards, commissions, and agencies; and d) any policy group whose membership includes representatives of publicly owned utilities formed by or pursuant to the laws of this state when meeting together as or on behalf of participants who have contracted for the output of generating plants being planned or built by an operating agency.

Nonprofit Organization. (s) shall mean a university or other institution of higher education or an organization of the type described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (26 U.S.C. 501(c)) and exempt from taxation under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code (26 U.S.C. 501(a)) or any nonprofit scientific or educational organization qualified under a state nonprofit organization statute. As used herein, the term also includes government agencies.
