Night Work and Weekend Work Rotation. There shall be fair rotation of night work and weekend work when the store is open for business insofar as this is practical for store operation. It is understood that students shall be excluded from this provision as well as employees who are specifically working on a night crew.

Night Work and Weekend Work Rotation. There shall be fair rotation of night work and weekend work when the store is open for business insofar as this is practical for store operation. It is understood that students shall be excluded from this provision as well as employees who are specifically working on a night crew. In acknowledgement that overnight crew face increased work load pressures during a statutory holiday week, qualifying employees working overnight crew on a statutory holiday will be provided with their scheduled statutory holiday on the first or last day of their scheduled work week, proceeding or following the statutory holiday week, where operationally practical. This clause does not apply to the Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day statutory holidays.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Workweek and Workday 1. The normal week shall consist of not more than five (5) consecutive days and not more than forty (40) hours per week, Sunday through Saturday. The regular workday shall consist of not more than eight (8) hours per day. Nothing in this Article shall be deemed to restrict the extension of the regular workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Weekend Work 5.5.1 Overtime work on Saturday will be paid for at the rate of time and a-half for the first 2 hours and Double Time thereafter. All overtime worked after 12 noon on Saturday will be paid for at the rate of Double Time. An employee required to work on the Saturday following Good Friday will be paid at least 4 hours' work, at the rate of Double Time and a-half.
