Common use of Night rate Clause in Contracts

Night rate. (i) Rostered ordinary hours of work between 2100 and 0700 the next day shall be paid at one and one quarter (1¼) times employees’ ordinary time rates of pay for each hour worked. For the avoidance of doubt, overtime rates of pay shall not be paid on or in addition to night rates of pay. (ii) For the avoidance of doubt, the night rate of pay shall not be paid in addition to the Saturday and Sunday rates of pay specified in 11.3 (i) below.
