Common use of Negotiating Committee Clause in Contracts

Negotiating Committee. The Hospital agrees to recognize a negotiating committee comprised of members to be elected or appointed from the bargaining unit. Where the Hospital participates in central bargaining, the purpose of the negotiating committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined in this Collective Agreement. Where the Hospital does not participate in central bargaining, the purpose of the negotiating committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. The Hospital agrees that the members of the negotiating committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to, and including, conciliation.
