Common use of Mutual Objectives Clause in Contracts

Mutual Objectives. The parties to this Agreement are committed to maintaining and improving productivity, efficiency and flexibility, which in turn will, at least, maintain and/or increase the Company's competitiveness and offer secure and worthwhile employment for its employees. It is recognised that the parties to this Agreement need to adopt a consultative and participative approach to increased efficiency and sustained productivity across all of the Company operations. Specific objectives of this Agreement are: - 6.1 To improve the efficiency and productivity of the Company by ensuring work practices are attuned to the current and future needs of the enterprise. 6.2 To promote discussion and effective implementation of the Company's Continuous Improvement Process. 6.3 To operate a safe road transport operation for the benefit of the Company and other road users. 6.4 To constantly seek improvement in safety service standards, efficiency, housekeeping and work environment. Clean and tidy housekeeping in the workplace is a high priority and employees will assist management in ensuring that required standards are attained. 6.5 To eliminate any site demarcations and/or restrictive work practices. 6.6 To take all steps necessary to avoid any action which disrupts continuity of operation by resolving employee concerns effectively and speedily 6.7 To attain the Company's objective of providing customers with a superior level of transport logistics service with minimal freight damages or losses and at a cost level which is commercially competitive. 6.8 To establish and maintain long-term partnerships with the Company's customers. 6.9 To ensure that all care and attention is exercised in ensuring that paperwork is accurate and that paperwork procedures are adhered to.
