Mutilated, Destroyed, Lost or Stolen Debentures Clause Samples

The 'Mutilated, Destroyed, Lost or Stolen Debentures' clause outlines the procedures for replacing debenture certificates that have been damaged, destroyed, lost, or stolen. Typically, the holder must provide satisfactory evidence of the loss or damage and may be required to indemnify the issuer against potential claims before a replacement certificate is issued. This clause ensures that legitimate holders can recover their investment instruments in the event of physical loss or damage, thereby protecting both the issuer and the holder from fraud or disputes over ownership.
