Common use of Multiple Sclerosis Clause in Contracts

Multiple Sclerosis. Diagnosis by a Consultant neurologist of neurological abnormalities. The insured must exhibit neurological abnormalities that have existed for a continuous period of at least 6 months or must have had at least two clinically documented episodes. This must be evidenced by the typical symptoms of demyelination and impairment of motor and sensory functions as well as by typical MRI findings subject to the survival of the Insured person for a minimum period of 30 days from the date of diagnosis for the first time during the policy period.
