Modifications and Derivative Works. You may modify the software, and use it to create derivative works, for your internal use at the site covered by this license. You may not distribute such modified or derivative software to others outside of your site without written permission. You may distribute the modifications themselves (e.g. as "patches") under terms of your choice. We encourage users to contribute modifications back into Amber, but you are under no obligation to do so.

Modifications and Derivative Works. You may not make any changes, translations, enhancements, or modifications to, or create any derivative works from, the Software or any portion of the Software without the prior written permission of Avigilon (except as provided in Section 20 of this Agreement with respect toopen source’ software). Any attempt to create any derivative works from the Software or any portion of the Software without the prior written permission of Avigilon (except as provided in Section 20 of this Agreement with respect to ‘open source’ software) shall result in the immediate termination of this Agreement.

That means you may not edit or modify the font files themselves in font editors/software/programs like FontLab Studio, Fontographer, Font Creator, TypeTool, BitFonter, Glyphs, FontStruct, RoboFont, etc. If you are located in a European Union member country or any other country which provides rights materially similar to the rights set forth in this provision, you may reverse engineer or decompile the trial fonts only to the extent that sufficient information is not available for the purpose of creating an interop- erable software program (but only for such purpose and only to the extent that sufficient information is not provided in a timely manner free of charge by Fontfabric upon written request).
Modifications and Derivative Works. Subject to Overland’s rights under this Agreement, S3D shall retain and own all modifications, enhancements, improvements and derivative works of the Licensed Technology developed by or for S3D or Overland after the Effective Date, including all Intellectual Property Rights therein. Modifications and Derivative Works. You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, alter or otherwise copy the font software or the designs included therein, except permitted by a separate written agreement. You may not link to, nor put online, any version of the licensed font software not supplied by Lazydogs Typefoundry. Any lettering or type works created by you, which are based upon our font software (the design of lettershapes, spacing, software code or other particular features) are considered derivative works and are the exclusive property of Lazydogs Typefoundry. Such works shall be subject to the terms and conditions of this licence. Lazydogs Typefoundry shall not be responsible for or required to support unauthorised, modified and / or regenerated software or derivative works.
Modifications and Derivative Works. Client shall not change, alter or modify, create derivative works, outsource, use the Fidelity Confidential Information to operate as a service bureau, or translate, reverse assemble, reverse engineer, reverse compile, disassemble or analyze or otherwise examine for purposes of reverse engineering the Software or any other Fidelity Confidential Information provided hereunder. Client acknowledges that any modification, adaptation, translation, or derivative work by Fidelity (or by Client in violation of this provision) and based on the Fidelity Confidential Information shall be trade secrets and are the exclusive, confidential, and proprietary property of Fidelity, and Client hereby transfers and assigns any and all rights in and to any such modification, adaptation, translation, or derivative work to Fidelity, including any copyrights thereto. Client acknowledges that Fidelity’s licensors shall be third party beneficiaries for the purpose of protecting their respective property provided under this Agreement. Client shall provide prompt written notice to Fidelity if Client knows of, or suspects, any such unauthorized access to, or use of the Fidelity Confidential Information. Client agrees not to remove any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property notices or property tags from the Fidelity Confidential Information.
