MODE OF MEASUREMENT. The contract rate shall be for the actual cubical content treated between edge of parapet walls. The separate rate shall be paid for vertical treatment to parapet on Sq. meter area basis. In case, extra thickness of coba is require to be provided to achieve the required gradient, the same shall be provided only if be directed. The work shall however, be executed as directed above except final finishing of the top surface. The rate for providing extra thickness as above shall be paid per cubic meter for this extra thickness ANNEXURE V

MODE OF MEASUREMENT a) The mode of measurement for this contract shall be on item rate basis and shall include all quantities specified in the Schedule of Quantities of this tender/ contract. It shall be further deemed that all variations and deviations if specifically agreed to in writing shall also form part of this tender/ contract and shall be subject to measurements. All payments released to the Contractor shall be subject to verification of quantities on the basis of mode of measurements herein stated.
MODE OF MEASUREMENT. Excavation for foundation of columns, walls and the like shall be measured and paid net as per drawing, dimensions of concrete (bed concrete where so specified) at the lowest level. In regard to length, breadth and depth shall be computed from the concerned excavation levels and ground levels taken before excavation. Any additional excavation required for working space, form work, planking, dewatering and strutting etc. shall not be measured and paid for separately but rates quoted for excavation shall include for all these factors. No increase in bulk after excavation shall be made. Excavation beyond dimensions of mass concrete for foundation as per drawing or below required depth shall not be paid for. Any excavation beyond required level shall fill back the same with concrete 1:4:8 at his cost. Measurement for general excavation/filling in roads/areas shall be made on section measurement by taking levels jointly before starting the work and after completion of the work and shall be worked out on average area method. This will give the total quantity of excavation. Levels shall be taken at 5M intervals or closer as required and directed by the Employer/Architects. In case of filling by xxxxxx brought from outside, the quantities will be worked by levels as stated above and shall be calculated/checked with lorry measurements after deducting 20% for shrinkage. In case of inadequate information regarding lorry measurement and/or number of lorry trips. Employer's/Architect's decision will be final and binding. In case of all fillings, 10% deduction will be made from the total quantities in the running bills, out of which 5% will be deducted permanently and the balance 5% will be paid after expiry of the defects liability period of one year or one monsoon whichever is later and after making good levels, surface etc. as required and directed. In case of soft and hard rock measurement will be made on the basis of level or stack measurement after deducting 40% for voids. The material will be stacked on fairly level ground and places as directed. All depressions over the required final levels will be made good by P.C.C 1:4:8 as directed at no extra cost. Stack measurement will be cross checked with level measurements and whichever less shall be paid. If directed by the Engineer in charge, for measurement the materials may have to be stacked at site before laying and nothing extra will be paid to the Contractor for this stacking. Preparation of base for laying bedding shall be deemed indicated to the work. Rate The rate shall include the cost for preparing the base, trimming/filling the earthwork to the profiles, as per slopes, lines, curves, slopes levels, Rubble placing, cement pointing in C.M 1:2 and all labour and materials as well as tools and plant required of the work. MODE OF MEASUREMENT. Wiring in suites and rooms shall be measured as per BOQ points. Other wiring shall be measured and paid on the basis of points and definition of points wiring shall be as mentioned in the schedule of work and shall include all junctions boxes of 16 SWG, MS box to house switches, sockets, fan regulators with cadmium plated brass screws, to accommodate plate switches connector earth wire fixing accessories, connection to all light fixtures, fans etc. Sub mains / circuit wiring from LDB to main switchboard of individual room / cabin / areas will be paid separately.
