Miscellaneous Assignments. Miscellaneous assignments are defined as driving time not outlined in items A-C above, that does not require specialized skills or does not occur in an emergency situation, i.e. emergency building evacuation, student removal, bus breakdown, etc. These miscellaneous assignments will be assigned first to four hour drivers required to render service, then by rotation to drivers who have signed up on the miscellaneous assignment board if the assignment does not give the driver more than 40 hours for the week, then if necessary, by assignment of overtime by the Transportation Manager or designee.

UPGRADES The Company will upgrade an Area or System Operator to fill in for a su- pervisor temporarily absent for four (4) or more hours whenever anoth- er person is not assigned to cover the supervisor’s normal hours. When an upgrade is given, it will be to the person filling the switching desk. An employee upgraded under this provision will be paid $16.00 on each day that he/she is upgraded. POSTING PROCESS Area Operators who post to a System Operator position will be provided the first available classroom NERC Certification Training and must take the exam at the completion of the classroom training. If the person fails their NERC Certification Exam, they must retake and pass the Exam within ninety (90) days after their first attempt. The Area Operators will be allowed to pre-qualify for NERC certification on a voluntary basis. No System Operators will be assigned to their own shift until they become NERC Certified. All employees who post into the Area or System Operator positions during this Contract Agreement must have at least a two year degree in Electrical Technology or a related field or have passed the CMP ETQ Exam. Employees accepting a System Operator position will be provided classroom NERC Certification Training. All employees must be qualified to be assigned to his or her own shift within six (6) months of starting the position. System Operators will be required to take their NERC recertification exam ninety (90) days prior to its expiration. They will be allowed to take their recertification exam up to one year prior to expiration with supervisory approval based on business scheduling needs of the department, and must pass the exam prior to expiration of their certificate. If they are unable to pass the exam, the Company and the Union will make every effort to find a qualified Area Operator to swap positions on a volunteer basis by seniority. Miscellaneous Assignments. 1. When a pilot is away from his home domicile at Company request for temporary flight duty, he will receive the standard allowances provided in Paragraph 4-A of this Section from the time of the departure of the trip on which he deadheads to begin the assignment until the time of the arrival of the trip on which he returns to his home domicile at the completion of the assignment, except that such expenses will be discontinued during any period of days off during which he returns to his home domicile or residence. Additionally, the pilot will receive twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day for the entire duration of the TDY assignment. For purposes of this paragraph, a TDY assignment begins one day prior to the pilot's first required day on duty and ends one day after the completion of his last duty period. The pilot will be provided suitable single lodging accommodations paid for by the Company or be reimbursed for reasonable actual hotel expenses if he is required to secure his own accommodations. The pilot shall also be furnished transportation to and from his temporary domicile, plus transportation between the lodgings and the airport or expenses therefor if such transportation is not furnished by the Company. Such expenses shall be claimed on a regular Company expense account form and must be submitted within ten (10) days after incurring the expenses. The Company will allow actual and necessary laundry and cleaning expenses when temporary duty is for more than five (5) consecutive days.
