Minor equipment property: A tangible item having a base unit cost of less than $5,000 with a life expectancy of one (1) year or more and is either furnished by the Census Office or the cost is reimbursed through this Agreement.
Minor equipment. A tangible item having a base unit cost of less than $5,000 with a life expectancy of one (1) year or more that is listed on the DHS Asset Management Unit's Minor Equipment List and is either furnished by DHS or the cost is reimbursed through this agreement. Contractors may obtain a copy of the Minor Equipment List by making a request through the DHS program contract manager.
Minor equipment. When minor equipment is put in operation on a job or project and an Assistant to the Engineer is employed, such employee may operate up to four (4) pieces of minor equipment in addition to his regular machine at the combination rate as set forth in Article 41 and Schedule “A.” In the event there is not an Assistant to the Engineer employed, and an Engineer assigned to other equipment is employed, such Engineer may operate up to four (4) pieces of minor equipment at the combination rate as set forth in Article 41 and Schedule “A” in addition to his regular machine, providing such equipment is within reasonable distance. If neither Assistant to the Engineer or an Engineer assigned to other equipment is employed on the job or project, and any minor equipment is put into operation, an Operating Engineer will be employed to operate said equipment. Neither an Assistant to Engineer nor an Engineer assigned to other equipment will be permitted to operate more than four (4) pieces of minor equipment on combination rate.
Minor equipment. In this contest, a minor equipment is the equipment that would be acquired in the framework of the research project and is not a requirement for the functioning and operation of the major equipment. Example: inverted microscopes, analytical balances, centrifuges, distillers, freezers, etc.
Minor equipment machine maintenance - Includes cleaning and minor adjustments to the equipment involved. In the case of sewing machines for example, it may include: changing needles; cleaning; lubrication; tension and stitch adjustment.
Minor equipment. 8. Minor equipment or materials estimated to cost, in the aggregate, the equivalent of less than $100,000, may be procured by local competitive bidding or directly from the manufacturers where local suppliers can provide satisfactory service facilities. Prior to such procurement, a list of individual items to be procured, an estimate of their costs, an indication of potential sources of supply and any related documents shall be submitted to ADB for approval. If the procurement is be awarded on the basis of local competitive bidding among prequalified contractors, it will be in accordance with the standard procurement procedures of the Borrower and acceptable to ADB. In any case, after award, three copies of each contract for such items shall be furnished to ADB.
