Common use of MINOR CHANGES IN THE WORK Clause in Contracts

MINOR CHANGES IN THE WORK. 12.1. The Owner reserves the right to make such additions, deletions, or changes to the Work as may be necessary in its sole and absolute discretion to complete the Work; provided, however, that no such additions, deletions or changes shall substantially affect the substance of the Work or the cost or time for performance thereof. This Contract shall in no way be invalidated by any such additions, deletions or changes. If the Contractor deems any such change to entitle it to additional compensation or any extension to the Contract Period, such claim shall be subject to the claims submittal procedures set forth in the Contract Documents and the Owner’s written direction for such addition, deletion or change shall be deemed to be the occurrence.
