Minimum Review Period. (1) In the interest of providing for objectivity in a performance appraisal, the employee will normally have been under the supervision of his/her immediate supervisor for at least 90 days, in order to give the supervisor or designee ample opportunity to evaluate the employee’s job performance.
(2) When an employee is appointed, reinstated, or transferred to the Air Force from another Federal Agency, a fully presumptive successful rating is automatically generated for the first 90 days of employment.
(3) Employees absent form their positions due to LWOP, military leave, extended sick leave or other authorized absences who work at least 90 days will receive regular appraisal ratings. Such employees who work less than 90 days may continue to carry their rating of record or be assigned an assumed rating of fully successful.
