Miles in Basic Day and Overtime Divisor Clause Samples

The "Miles in Basic Day and Overtime Divisor" clause defines how the number of miles a worker is expected to cover in a standard workday is calculated, as well as the method for determining overtime pay based on mileage. Typically, this clause sets a specific mileage threshold that constitutes a basic day, and any miles driven beyond this threshold are compensated at an overtime rate, often by dividing total miles by a set divisor to calculate overtime eligibility. This clause ensures fair compensation for employees who exceed standard mileage expectations, providing a clear formula for both employers and employees to determine regular and overtime pay, and thereby preventing disputes over pay calculations.
