Common use of Mid-Year Break Clause in Contracts

Mid-Year Break. During the Mid-Year Break as outlined in Section 3.0, the Residence will be closed and all residents must vacate the Residence. Residents with exceptional circumstances (e.g. International students who cannot return home) may apply to stay in Residence until 10:00 a.m. on December 21, 2021, and between 12:00 p.m. January 4, 2021 and 10:00 a.m. on the Saturday before the Winter term begins, January 8, 2022. A nightly rate for additional accommodations will apply, as per Section 5.0, subject to extension approval from the Residence Office. Residents will be able to access the online residence extension application by mid-October and must submit to the Residence Office by no later than 12:00 p.m. December 3, 2021. All Residents without exception must vacate their rooms by 10:00 a.m. December 21, 2021, until 12:00 p.m. January 4, 2022.
