Our methodology notes what each section will contain, then explains how we will update each section.
Methodology and Approach. The NIA was conducted using SoundPLAN 8.2. This is a commercial, three-dimensional, computer- based, noise-modeling software that is used to generate noise level predictions to aid in ascertaining the environmental impact of the proposed facility on the surrounding environment. The results of this assessment will compare the predicted noise levels of the ADR operations to the MPNL’s outlined in the ACNO ordinance (as summarized in Table 1 of section 3). The ISO 9613-1 & 2 international standards are utilized in this software as they are widely accepted both internationally as well as in North America. The algorithms used in this commercial software package are based on methods and theory accepted in the environmental acoustics community. Both detailed source technical information and location specific topography, are used to generate comprehensive noise predictions that take into account environmental conditions, buildings, ground cover, and barriers (natural, topographical and otherwise). Note that actual field measurements may differ from modeled noise levels on any given day due to ever changing environmental factors and other noise sources in the study area not explicitly in the computer model. Table 2 below lists the conditions used in the model.
Methodology and Approach. Introduction The purpose of this chapter is to describe the methodology used to develop evaluate the research workflows, business processes, and enterprise architecture for the integration of electronic health records and clinical research systems, utilizing Emory University as a model for academic medical centers. This chapter also describes the approaches taken to propose a solution for integration. Project Design A mixed methods approach was applied to develop a solution proposing the integration of electronic health records and clinical research data. A business case was chosen as the approach for developing and presenting the proposed solution as it is a frequently used tool for project justification in the field of public health informatics. For the purposes of this project, it also served a guide for identifying project requirements across the enterprise. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Unified Process templates were used to develop the business case ((CDC), 2010). Emory University was chosen as an organizational model for this project as it is a leading academic medical center in conducting clinical research studies (Emory, 2017). Accessibility to systems was also taken into consideration in choosing Emory as the model. No protected health information (PHI) was accessed for the purposes of this project. This project was exempt from institutional review board (IRB) review.

Methodology and Approach. ‌ This section describes the Alaska HIE Assessment methodology and approach as agreed upon by DHCS. The assessment criteria were defined to support the ONC grant requirements as well as the contractual agreements between DHSS and AeHN. Cognosante selected the five domains defined by the ONC in the FOA. Cognosante developed a set of desired documentation that represented information supporting the domain criteria. In addition, Xxxxxxxxxx identified key stakeholder positions that had experience with either the AeHN BOD or the program at large, these stakeholders would inform the assessment regarding perception, activities and communication penetration. Cognosante focused the assessment information gathering on six key activities:  Individual stakeholder interviewsReview of key documentation  Group question and answer sessions with Orion Health staff  Internet research  Interaction with AeHN Board of Directors at August meeting in person and September 2011 Annual meeting via conference line  Discussions with the HIT Project Office to provide historical perspective and context
