Common use of MENTAL ILLNESS Clause in Contracts

MENTAL ILLNESS. A behavioral, psychological or biological dysfunction. Mental illness includes a biologically-based mental illness as well as a mental illness that is not biologically-based. With respect to mental illness that is biologically based, mental illness means a condition that is caused by a biological disorder of the brain and results in a clinically significant or psychological syndrome or pattern that substantially limits the functioning of the person with the illness, including but not limited to: schizophrenia; schizoaffective disorder; major depressive disorder; bipolar disorder; paranoia and other psychotic disorders; obsessive-compulsive disorder; panic disorder and pervasive developmental disorder or autism. [NETWORK] PROVIDER. A Provider which has an agreement [directly or indirectly] with Usto provide Covered Services or Supplies. The Employee will have access to up- to-date lists of [Network] Providers. [NEWLY ACQUIRED DEPENDENT. An eligible Dependent an Employee acquires after he or she already has coverage in force for Initial Dependents.] NON-COVERED SERVICES. Services or supplies which are not included within Our definition of Covered Services or Supplies, are included in the list of Non-Covered Services and Supplies, or which exceed any of the limitations shown in this Contract.
