Medical Screening. The State shall ensure that all inmates receive an appropriate and timely medical screening by a medical staff member upon arrival at a Facility. The State shall ensure that such screening enables staff to identify individuals with serious medical or mental health conditions, including acute medical needs, infectious diseases, chronic conditions, physical disabilities, mental illness, suicide risk, and drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. Separate mental health screening shall be provided as described in Paragraph 28.

Medical Screening. The Agency will determine the need for and scheduling of any screening examination (e.g., asbestos, lead), and to conduct such with Agency medical resources. The Agency will provide periodic examinations for employees involved in this type of work in accordance with governing regulations.
Medical Screening. Initial medical screening can be used as part of TAG’s Booking module. There are two parts to the TAG Medical Examination screens. In the first part officers can record basic indicators like blood pressure, temperature, or the date of the inmate's last full physical or dental exam. The second part of the TAG Medical Examination screen consists of questionnaires that are user-definable for any medical category, with yes/no answers for inmate responses. The system allows the agency to build forms to record visual observations, or mental health assessments. The TAG Alert system allows for offenders to be “marked” with any number of user- definable alerts; these include medical alerts.

Medical Screening. Any member who is interested in serving on the “Haz Mat Team” will consent to being medially screened by the designated Physician. The medical screening will be designed to evaluate the member’s fitness for HAZ MAT team assignment. The complete screening criteria will be made available for the member’s review before the screening takes place. Each year prior to the “Medical Screening” members will agree in writing to participate with the “Haz Mat Team” for the fiscal year following the Medical Screening Medical test and all results will be kept confidential between the Physician and the member. If after the medical screening the member chooses to be an active team participant, then those medical records will be maintained and supervised by the team’s designated physician, facility or agency. PROCEDURE: Initial training to Technician level will be provided to new team members as a unit. Off-duty members will be paid for all hours of required training. On-duty members will be on a delayed-response basis. The positions of the additional members assigned to this training will be covered by shift coverage. The initial Technician level training will be conducted as a minimum eighty-(80) hour program. The team members with certification as well as those without will be required to attend this initial program. Members interested in a Haz Mat Team assignment must agree to participate in the required training and agree to fill any position on the team when qualified. Members must be certified to receive stipend (pass test, maintain certification, annual recertification, medical screening). The NFR will train adequate members in order to maintain a regular five-member Haz Mat team available on a daily basis. In the event more members sign for the team than this pre-determined staffing allows, the member with the most seniority will be allowed to continue in the training process for certification and regular assignment, provided medical screening shows qualified. The NFR will retain the right to make assignments, regular and alternate, to the team based on seniority. REQUIRED: There must be adequate personnel (members and alternates) trained by this procedure to the Technician level to maintain the regular team. All future Technician level members will first be designated as alternates. Medical Screening. The Ballet has embarked on a pro-active health screening and injury prevention process that includes all Full Company Dancers and Apprentices, to be assessed by the Alberta Ballet Medical Team for their ongoing health and injury prevention and professional dancer injury research. Attendance at medical screenings is voluntary.
Medical Screening. All contract instructors shall undergo a medical screening within thirty (30) days prior to reporting for duty as mandated by OPNAVINST 1500.75C. The medical screening shall be conducted in the presence of the contract instructor, and shall be performed by competent medical authority (i.e., Licensed Physician, credentialed Physician’s Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), etc.). The medical screening shall also include psychosocial screening. The High Risk Instructor Screening Guide (Attachment N), Medical Officer’s Interview Guide (Attachment O), and High-Risk Instructor Medical Questionnaire (Attachment P) shall be used in supporting this requirement. All medical screenings shall be provided by the contractor at no additional cost to the government.

Individuals must successfully complete the Diversion Center’s medical screen to move forward in the eligibility criteria review.
