Common use of MEASURED DRAWING Clause in Contracts

MEASURED DRAWING. When existing drawings are not available, the preparation of measured drawings may be authorized as an Additional Service for an extensive survey of the existing structures to provide a comprehensive record of existing conditions. The survey may include all Architectural, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Protection, and all other conditions necessary for a comprehensive record of existing conditions. The surveys of existing conditions may include reasonable cutting of exploratory holes and other investigations to determine the location of existing elements. The Client Agency shall determine if the exploratory hole location is acceptable, considering the facility’s operation and assist with relocation, if necessary. All existing conditions affecting the Work shall be documented on Contract Drawings.
