MEALS - WORK BEYOND QUITTING TIME. If Company requires an employee to perform work for more than one hour beyond regular work hours, it shall provide the employee with a meal approximately one hour after regular quitting time and with meals at intervals thereafter of approximately four hours but not more than five hours for as long as the employee continues such work. MEALS - WORK BEYOND QUITTING TIME. If Agency requires an employee to perform work for more than one hour beyond regular work hours, it shall provide the employee with a meal approximately one hour after regular quitting time and with meals at intervals thereafter of approximately four hours but not more than five hours for as long as the employee continues such work For example, if on a regular workday an employee works until 4:30pm, no meal allowance nor paid overtime to eat that meal would be earned. The meal would not be earned until an employee has worked passed the hour overtime and into the next hour. In this example, a meal would be earned at 4:45pm, since our time is entered to the nearest 15 minutes. An employee would have to work until at least 4:38pm to round his/her time to 4:45pm and have the meal earned and the 30 minutes paid overtime to eat that meal.

  • Starting Time is the time that employees present themselves at their work- station and not the time that employees are in the amenities or in the car park.

  • Starting Times Each site principal with input from the leadership team shall determine the starting times for staff members within legal requirements and exactly equal to the work day as set forth in Article 8.1.

  • Training Time When an employee is ordered by the County to attend training, the time spent in training shall be counted as hours worked. Training which takes place during off-duty hours with attendance voluntary is not hours worked.

  • Overtime Lieu Time Where an employee has worked and accumulated approved overtime hours (other than overtime hours related to paid holidays) such employee shall have the option of electing payment at the applicable overtime rate or time off equivalent to the applicable overtime rate (i.e. where the applicable rate is time and one-half then time off shall be at time and one half times.) Where an employee chooses the latter option, such time off must be taken within the succeeding four (4) pay periods of the occurrence of the overtime at a time mutually agreeable to the hospital and the employee, or payment in accordance with the former option shall be made. Paid Time to Working Time Employees absent on approved leave, paid by the Employer or by the Workers' Compensation Board, shall for the purposes of computing overtime pay during the work schedule in which the absence occurred, be considered as having worked their regularly scheduled hours during such leave of absence. No pyramiding shall result from the application of this provision. The foregoing shall also apply in cases of short term leaves of absence for Union business approved by the Employer under the applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement where payment is made to the employee by the Union. Weekend Premium An employee shall be paid a weekend premium of sixty-five ($0.65) per hour for each hour worked between hours Friday to hours Sunday or such other forty-eight (48) hour period that the Hospital may establish. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, will not receive weekend premium under this provision. The weekend premium shall increase seventy cents ($0.70) effective eighty cents ($0.80) effective April I, and eighty-five cents ($0.85) effective October ARTICLE -ALLOWANCES

  • TRAVELLING TIME 12.01 For the purposes of this Agreement travelling time is compensated for only in the circumstances and to the extent provided for in this Article.

  • Rain at Starting Time Where the employees are in the sheds, because they have been rained off, or at starting time, morning tea, or lunchtime, and it is raining, they shall not be required to go to work in a dry area or to be transferred to another site unless: ⮚ The rain stops; or ⮚ A covered walkway has been provided; or ⮚ The sheds are under cover and the employees can get to the dry area without going through the rain; or ⮚ Adequate protection is provided. Protection shall, where necessary, be provided for the employees’ tools.

  • Planning Time A. Uninterrupted planning time sixty (60) consecutive minutes shall be provided daily within the normal work day for full-time teachers at elementary sites. Planning period adjustments may be made with the approval of the teacher if the adjustment does not decrease the number of minutes allocated for planning time.
