Mapped Floodplains. Development within any mapped floodplains will require a separate floodplain development approval if Northern Water and/or the NISP Enterprise proposes to open cut to place the pipeline(s) across the stream channel or to install permanent structures that extend above the current ground surface within the floodplain boundaries, per Section 12 of the Land Use Code.
