The Long-term Outreach clause establishes a commitment by the parties to maintain ongoing communication and engagement over an extended period. This clause typically outlines the frequency, methods, and objectives of outreach activities, such as regular updates, progress reports, or collaborative meetings. Its core practical function is to ensure sustained collaboration and information sharing, thereby fostering a strong, continuous relationship and preventing lapses in communication that could hinder the success of the partnership.
Long-term outreach. 4.6.1 The University has continued to work with its existing AimHigher schools in delivering outreach including taster sessions, portfolio sessions and general information session to students in years 9 – 11 and will continue this activity. During the 2012-13 academic year the University delivered outreach to 750 pupils within this age range. 4.6.2 The University will be seeking to strengthen its collaborative partnerships in order to develop longer-term outreach over the forthcoming period. This is in order to ensure that resources are directed towards the most effective outreach initiatives which represent genuine value for money.

Long-term outreach.  Increase investment in outstanding outreaching activity across primary, secondary and further education age-phases with school and college partners to raise aspiration and attainment levels at level 2 and 3.  From 2017/18 we will introduce a pre-16 progression programme targeting WP students from Y9-Y11. The scheme will aim to recruit an initial 100 participants in Year 9 and 100 in Year 10 in 2017/18, increasing to 300 participants in 2018.
Long-term outreach. (Primary Schools) – providing long term outreach activity is an essential objective for the University and although student outcomes are on a long term basis, effective monitoring and evaluation of short term outcomes will be vital to measuring the impact of activity on participants. 6.6.1. We will work with primary schools within the local community and focus on those that feed directly into schools currently identified as Quintile 1 on Polar 3 data maps.
