Common use of LONG SERVICE PAY Clause in Contracts

LONG SERVICE PAY. 26.01 In recognition of the principle that the long service employee is of increased value to the Employer through his acquired knowledge and experience, the Employer agrees to long service pay in accordance with the following table: After 5 years of service $ 90.00 After 10 years of service $ 160.00 After 15 years of service $ 230.00 After 20 years of service $ 300.00 After 25 years of service $ 370.00 This Long Service Pay shall be due on November 30 of each year. On severance or retirement, an employee shall be entitled to Long Service Pay calculated on a pro-rata basis from December 1 to the date of departure. In case of death, Long Service Pay shall be paid to the employee’s beneficiary.
