Common use of Local Union Leave Clause in Contracts

Local Union Leave. The Employer agrees to grant leaves of absence without pay to employees selected by the Union to attend Union business, including conferences and conventions. The Union will give at least four (4) weeks written notice where practicable. Replies to request for leaves of absence shall be given within two (2) calendar weeks of receipt of the request.
