LOA Without. Pay for 15 Days or More in Any Calendar Month‌ Except as otherwise specifically provided for in this Agreement and except for a part-time officer of the Union absent on Union business pursuant to Articles G 2.00, an employee working a five (5) day workweek on a leave of absence without pay for a period of fifteen (15) or more working days in any calendar month or an employee working a four (4) day workweek on a leave of absence without pay for a period of twelve (12) or more working days in any calendar month will be required to pay the full cost of the Medical, Dental and Life Insurance Plans as outlined in Articles G 13.01, G 13.02, G 13.03 and G 13.05.

LOA Without. Pay Employees granted a leave of absence without pay shall not accrue sick leave during said leave of absence, but upon resumption of active employment shall have available the sick leave accrued before the time of such layoff or leave of absence.

  • Leaves Without Pay A. Military leave shall be granted in accordance with statutory requirements.

  • Other Leaves Without Pay 10.10.1 Upon recommendation of the Superintendent and approval by the Board of Trustees, leave without compensation, increment, seniority, or tenure credit may be granted for a period of one school year for the following purposes: Peace Corps, care for a member of the immediate family who is ill, long-term illness of the bargaining unit member, service in an elected public office, or professional study or research.

  • Parental Leave Without Pay (a) Where an employee has or will have the actual care and custody of a new-born child (including the new-born child of a common-law partner), the employee shall, upon request, be granted parental leave without pay for a single period of up to thirty-seven (37) consecutive weeks in the fifty-two (52) week period beginning on the day on which the child is born or the day on which the child comes into the employee’s care.

  • Leave Without Pay An employee shall not be entitled to payment for a public holiday falling during a period of leave without pay (including sick leave and military leave without pay) unless the employee has worked during the fortnight ending on the day on which the holiday is observed.

  • Maternity Leave Without Pay (a) An employee who becomes pregnant shall, upon request, be granted maternity leave without pay for a period beginning before, on or after the termination date of pregnancy and ending not later than eighteen (18) weeks after the termination date of pregnancy.

  • Court Appearance Leave Without Pay An employee may request and shall be granted leave without pay for the time required to make an appearance as a plaintiff or defendant in a civil or criminal court proceeding that is not connected with the employee's officially assigned duties. However, reduction in salary will not be made for an FLSA-exempt employee to testify in court or at a deposition except for full workweek increments where such testimony causes an absence of one (1) or more full workweeks.

  • Authorized Leave Without Pay A. Agency/Departmental Leave‌ A regular, limited-term or probationary employee may request an agency/departmental leave without pay for a period of time not to exceed fifteen (15) calendar days. The granting of such Leave shall be at the discretion of the agency/department, except in cases where Official Leave has been authorized pursuant to B.4., B.5. and Sections 10, 11.A. and 14, below. The agency/department head may require that all accumulated compensatory leave time be used prior to granting of agency/departmental leave. The use of earned vacation or annual leave prior to the obtaining of agency/departmental leave shall be at the option of the employee.

  • Special Leave Without Pay Section 1. Employees may participate in a Special Leave Without Pay Program as established by the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners. The Special Leave Without Pay Program period is from date of County Board Approval through December 31, 2021.

  • Other Leave Without Pay At its discretion, the Employer may grant leave without pay for purposes other than those specified in this Agreement, including enrolment in the Canadian Armed Forces and election to a full-time municipal office.

  • Time Off Without Pay (a) Time spent in the transaction of business which is unrelated to the functioning of the University such as time spent at the Union's International or Local Officer.
