Limitations and Exceptions. 1. Personal leave for days immediately preceding or following a vacation or holiday, or for the opening day or closing day of the school year, or from May 20 to the last day of school, shall be approved by the Superintendent or designee if the situation is one in which the employee does not have control or cannot reasonably make other arrangements. If leave is to be requested on any of the aforementioned days, the employee shall be obligated to submit the Employee Leave Certification Form (Appendix C) including a written statement of the nature of the reason for leave in sufficient detail to establish that it is a matter over which the employee does not have control or cannot reasonably make other arrangements.
