Legal Basis. Legal Basis. The Michigan Employment Relations Commission having conducted a representation election on July 17, 1978, and having certified the Union as the exclusive bargaining agent, the University hereby recognizes the Union as the exclusive representative for all employees in the unit as described in Section 2.2 of this Article for the purpose of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment and other conditions of employment for the term of this Agreement.
Legal Basis. The Michigan Employment Relations Commission having conducted a representation election, and on January 14, 2014 having certified the Alliance as the exclusive bargaining agent, the University does hereby recognize the Alliance as the exclusive representative for all staff members in the unit as described in Section 2.2. of this Agreement for the purpose of collective bargaining in respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment and other conditions of employment for the term of this Agreement.
Legal Basis. 3.1 This Deed is made pursuant to Section 106 of the Act, section 111 of the Local Government Xxx 0000, section 1 of the Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000 and all other enabling powers.
Legal Basis. Reduction in force shall be in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 3319.17, including financial reasons, declining enrollments and changing course offerings and selections. The Superintendent shall meet with the CHTU President at least thirty (30) calendar days before Board action to authorize a reduction in force. At this time the Superintendent shall provide a list of the potential positions to be eliminated and the names of the individuals who may be affected by the reduction.

If any provisions of this Agreement or any application of this Agreement to any employee or group of employees is held to be contrary to law, then such provision or application shall not be deemed valid and subsisting, except to the extent permitted by law, but all other provisions or applications shall continue in full force and effect.
