Legal Assistance. The Board shall give full support including legal and other assistance for any assault upon the employee while properly acting in the discharge of his/her duties.
Legal Assistance. The parties hereto have each consulted with legal counsel or have had the opportunity to consult with legal counsel regarding the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
Legal Assistance. Legal assistance shall be provided to a faculty member when the College President or his designee determines, after investigation, that action taken by the faculty member was justifiable and occurred in the course of his employment. The specifics of such assistance will be determined by the Board.

The Employer will provide to the employees such legal assistance as will be required or needed as a result of the acts occurring when and while said employee is acting in his/her official capacity as a police officer and is in lawful performance of his/her police duties and responsibilities. Lawful performance shall be construed as proper, acceptable practice of a qualified police officer.

The employer shall provide an employee facing a criminal or disciplinary action under the BIG Act with adequate legal assistance, unless there was intent or gross negligence or the case does not relate to the performance of his job. If the employee has serious objections to the person providing the legal assistance, the employer may appoint another person in consultation with the employee.

Legal Assistance. Employees will have the legal assistance of the Company in any legal proceeding brought jointly against the employee and the Company.

The City shall provide appropriate insurance coverage and legal assistance and defense for employees who are subjected to civil litigation arising from incidents and events which occur as a result of the performance of their duties. The City shall have the right to settle and compromise all claims.
Legal Assistance. The Employer shall supply legal assistance where required to employees who are served with summons regarding building violations.
Legal Assistance. The Corporation will pay the legal costs associated with the defence of any employees who are sued or charged with any offence as a result of acts arising from the normal performance of their duties. Employees shall have the right to choose their own counsel to represent them in their defence but in no case shall the Corporation be required to pay in excess of $50,000 for any matter, including all related proceedings or appeals. In addition, the Corporation shall ensure there is no loss of regular wages and will pay travel and accommodation expenses (in accordance with Corporation Policy) for the duration of the legal proceedings.
