Leave with Pay for Family Related. Responsibilities (a) For the purpose of this clause, family is defined as spouse or common law spouse, dependant children (including children of spouse or common law spouse), parents (including step-parents or xxxxxx parents), or any relative permanently residing in the employee's household or with whom the employee permanently resides.
Leave with Pay for Family Related. Responsibilities Employees may utilize accrued lieu time or accrued vacation or unpaid leave of absence for situations of Emergency Leave as recognized under the Ontario Employment Standards Act.
Leave with Pay for Family Related. (a) For the purpose of this clause, family is defined as spouse (or common-law spouse resident with the employee), dependent children (including children of legal or spouse), parents (including stepparents or xxxxxx parents), or any relative permanently residing in the employee’s household or with whom the employee permanently resides. The Employer grant leave with pay under the following circumstances: an employee is expected to make every reasonable effort to schedule medical or dental appointments for dependent family members to minimize or preclude his absence from work; however, when .arrangementsare not possible an employee shall be granted up to one-half day for a medical or dental appointment when the dependent family member is incapable of attending the appointment by himself, or for appointments with appropriate authorities in schools or adoption agencies. An employee requesting leave under this provision must notify his supervisor of the appointment as far in advance as possible; to provide for the immediate and temporary care of a sick member the employee’s family and to provide an employee with time to make alternate care arrangements where the illness is of a longer duration;

  • Eligibility for Sick Leave with Pay Employees shall be eligible for sick leave with pay immediately upon accrual.

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY LIMITATION 233. An employee who is absent because of disability leave and who is receiving disability indemnity payments may request that the amount of disability indemnity payment be supplemented with salary to be charged against the employee's sick leave with pay credits so as to equal the net amount the employee would have earned for a regular work schedule minus premium pay adjustments. If the employee wishes to exercise this option, the employee must submit a signed statement to the employee's department no later than thirty (30) days following the employee's release from disability leave.

  • What Will Happen After We Receive Your Letter When we receive your letter, we must do two things:

  • Agreement with Respect to Continuation of Group Health Plan Coverage for Former Employees of the Failed Bank (a) The Assuming Institution agrees to assist the Receiver, as provided in this Section 4.12, in offering individuals who were employees or former employees of the Failed Bank, or any of its Subsidiaries, and who, immediately prior to Bank Closing, were receiving, or were eligible to receive, health insurance coverage or health insurance continuation coverage from the Failed Bank ("Eligible Individuals"), the opportunity to obtain health insurance coverage in the Corporation's FIA Continuation Coverage Plan which provides for health insurance continuation coverage to such Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank as defined in Section 607 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (respectively, "qualified beneficiaries" and "ERISA"). The Assuming Institution shall consult with the Receiver and not later than five (5) Business Days after Bank Closing shall provide written notice to the Receiver of the number (if available), identity (if available) and addresses (if available) of the Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank and for whom a "qualifying event" (as defined in Section 603 of ERISA) has occurred and with respect to whom the Failed Bank's obligations under Part 6 of Subtitle B of Title I of ERISA have not been satisfied in full, and such other information as the Receiver may reasonably require. The Receiver shall cooperate with the Assuming Institution in order to permit it to prepare such notice and shall provide to the Assuming Institution such data in its possession as may be reasonably required for purposes of preparing such notice.

  • Termination Generally If the Executive’s employment with the Company is terminated for any reason, the Company shall pay or provide to the Executive (or to his authorized representative or estate) (i) any Base Salary earned through the Date of Termination, unpaid expense reimbursements (subject to, and in accordance with, Section 2(c) of this Agreement) and unused vacation that accrued through the Date of Termination on or before the time required by law but in no event more than 30 days after the Executive’s Date of Termination; and (ii) any vested benefits the Executive may have under any employee benefit plan of the Company through the Date of Termination, which vested benefits shall be paid and/or provided in accordance with the terms of such employee benefit plans (collectively, the “Accrued Benefit”).

  • Determination of Service for Sick Leave with Pay Actual time worked and all leave with pay, except for educational leave, shall be included in determining the pro rata accrual of sick leave credits each month, provided that the employee works thirty-two (32) hours or more in that month.
