Leave of Absence Benefits. When the Chief of Police, the Director of DoE or the Director of Homeland Security, in their discretion, recommend to the County Personnel Officer that a request for leave without pay made by an employee covered by this Agreement be approved, the Chief of Police, the Director of DoE or the Director of Homeland Security, as appropriate, will send to the employee at his/her home address or have hand delivered the letter and form appearing at the back of this contract as Attachment B. The responsibility for making arrangements for benefits while on leave without pay is the employee's.

Leave of Absence Benefits. 27 1. Unit members shall be granted bereavement leave up to a maximum of five (5) days for the 28 death of a member of the immediate family.   • LEAVE OF ABSENCE With respect to the Award, the Company may, in its sole discretion, determine that if you are on leave of absence for any reason you will not be considered as having terminated employment with the Company; however, your rights to the Restricted Stock Units during a leave of absence will be limited to the extent to which those rights were earned or vested when the leave of absence began.

  • Unpaid Leave of Absence If an employee is on an unpaid leave of absence, then vacation leave, compensatory time, or sick leave cannot be used for the purpose of maintaining eligibility for an Employer Contribution by keeping the employee on a State payroll for one (1) working day per pay period.

  • Extended Leave of Absence Professional employees who have attained renewable contract status may request extended leaves of absence for one (1) year without pay under any one of the circumstances listed in this section. All requests for such extended leave of absence will be applied for and granted or rejected in writing. Such application will be reviewed by the principal and superintendent. If the latter approves, he/she will recommend that the leave be granted by the Board.
