Leading Hand. An employee appointed by the Employer to act as a leading hand will be paid an allowance as set out in Appendix A in addition to the highest rate prescribed for employees under his or her control provided that an employee will only be entitled to the above prescribed allowance where the employee’s skill level grading classification descriptor does not include those core skills which reflect the duties of a leading hand as appointed. There will be no double counting.
