Layover Time for Bus Drivers. Layover time will be paid at the employee’s regular driver rate. Layover time is defined as on duty time (engaged to wait, not released), and is distinguished from off-duty time (waiting to be engaged, released). Layover time shall not count as "hours worked" (e.g., for the purpose of calculating overtime, etc.).
