The 'Lawful Directions' clause establishes that any instructions or directives given under the contract must comply with applicable laws and regulations. In practice, this means that a party, typically an employer or principal, can issue directions to the other party, such as an employee or contractor, but only to the extent that those directions are not illegal or contrary to statutory obligations. This clause ensures that parties are not required to follow orders that would result in unlawful conduct, thereby protecting them from legal liability and upholding the integrity of the contractual relationship.
Lawful Directions. The Employer may direct an Employee to carry out such duties as are within the limits of the Employee’s skill, competence and training, provided that the Employee has been properly trained in the use of such equipment and tools.
