Late Calls. 16.1.0. A Short Term Occasional Teacher shall not be considered late for a teaching assignment as a result of a late request to report for such assignment provided that the Short Term Occasional Teacher arrives on or before the time mutually agreed upon by the Board representative and the Short Term Occasional Teacher.

Late Calls. If the crew receives a call at the end of the shift after equipment has been stowed, it is understood that if equipment problems are encountered that would jeopardize the safe handling of the patient, a back-up vehicle will be sent. There will be no assignment of non-emergency calls thirty (30) minutes prior to the end of shift, within the City. Further TEMS will make all reasonable efforts not to assign a non-emergency call in the last sixty (60) minutes. The Ambulance Division and representatives of Local 416 will meet with the Central Ambulance Communications Centres to address the reduction of the frequency of end-of-shift overtime arising out of calls being assigned by other CACCs. All other emergency calls that are received up to the end of the assigned shift and may extend beyond the end-of-shift will be serviced until completion. On completion of the call the ambulance will be booked out of service and returned to station; if an ambulance crew that is booked out of service witnesses or comes across an emergency situation they will be obliged to remain on-scene and render aid until relieved by an appropriate transport unit. Prior to returning to station and being booked out-of-service the crew will response to an emergency call while on-route to the station. If it is the decision of the crew not to remain available they will be shown out-of-service and will be directed to return to the ambulance station with the exception of the above paragraph. Late Calls. A Late Call is a dispatched call for service, or a transit police initiated activity that occurs no less than fifteen (15) minutes in advance of a deputy’s scheduled off-duty time, but which does not resolve until after the scheduled off-duty time. Overtime costs associated to Late Calls shall be absorbed by the County, and itemized in an Overtime Report prepared biweekly by the Transit Police Bureau. (See also Exhibit C, Section A) Call Outs: A Call Out is any incident or situation that requires the unplanned response of Transit Police personnel during their off-duty hours in order to resolve or mitigate an emergency, conduct or assist in an investigation, or otherwise respond in support of the transit system. Overtime costs associated to Call Outs shall be itemized in an Overtime Report prepared biweekly by the Transit Police Bureau, and invoiced separately to SamTrans for payment. (See also Exhibit C, Section A) Special Events: Special Events are concerts, baseball games, holiday celebrations, and other pre- planned venues in which transit system resources are dedicated in support of the event, and in which additional Transit Police personnel are necessary to maintain a minimum level of security or response readiness. In collaboration with the Transit Police Bureau representative, the SamTrans Chief of Protective Services will pre-establish staffing levels for Special Events. Overtime costs associated to Special Events shall be itemized in an Overtime Report prepared biweekly by the Transit Police Bureau, and invoiced separately to SamTrans for payment. Late Calls. Where the Provider does not attend a Service User‟s premises to deliver the Services at the required date and time, as described in the Care Plan and the Request for Homecare Services, but wishes to arrive at another date or time to deliver the Services, they shall immediately notify the Service User, Carer where appropriate and the Health and Care Contact Point, to negotiate another acceptable time if possible. The Purchaser shall only pay the Provider for Services actually delivered, or in accordance with clause 1.3. If the late call is not agreed by the Service User then it shall be reclassified as a missed call as in clause 1.4. The required time for delivery of the Services shall be variable by 30 minutes either side of the stated time, to cater for unseen events.
