Languages Other Than English. The Contractor agrees to make available member handbooks in languages other than English consistent with interpreter service requirements and to distribute them to members requesting them, whether new or established members. The Contractor agrees to publish a revised member handbook within three (3) months of the effective date of this Agreement in all required languages, according to the non-English language enrollment profile of the Contractor on the effective date of this Agreement. The Contractor agrees to designate non-English language capability in its provider listings (including mental health and substance use providers) distributed to members.

Languages Other Than English. An employer who offers a payroll card account option to an employee using materials in a language other than English, shall provide the written disclosure and written consent required by subdivisions 5 and 6, and all payroll card account agreements in that other language.

Languages Other Than English. EOHHS will maintain a methodology for identifying the prevalent non-English languages spoken by recipients and potential recipients throughout the State. The Broker must make verbal interpretation available in all languages and written translation available in each prevalent non- English language. All written materials for potential recipients must include taglines in the prevalent non-English languages in the State, as well as large print (18 point), explaining the availability of written translations or verbal interpretation to understand the information provided and the toll-free telephone number of the entity providing choice counseling services as required by § 438.71(a). This must be added to any letter they may use that explains recipient’s right to the State Fair Hearing process as a result of having their level of service decreased or denied. The Broker shall make interpretation services available to each recipient and make those services available free of charge to each recipient. This includes oral interpretation and the use of auxiliary aids such as TTY/TDY and American Sign Language. Oral interpretation requirements apply to all non-English languages, not just those that the State identifies as prevalent. Written materials must use easily understood language. The Broker must ensure that recipients are informed that alternative formats are available for those with special needs who may be visually limited or have limited English proficiency. All written materials for recipients must include taglines in the prevalent non-English languages in the State, as well as large print (18 point), explaining the availability of written translations or verbal interpretation to understand the information provided and the toll-free telephone number to call for assistance. All recipients must be informed that information is available in alternative formats and how to access those formats. Verbal interpretations must be available to recipients in all languages.

The OVHA shall develop appropriate methods of communicating with its enrollees who do not speak English as a first language, as well as enrollees who are visually and hearing impaired, and accommodating enrollees with physical disabilities and different learning styles and capacities. Enrollee materials, including the enrollee handbook, shall be made available in all prevalent non-English languages. A prevalent non-English language shall mean any language spoken as a first language by five percent or more of the total statewide Global Commitment to Health Waiver enrollment. The OVHA shall make in-person or telephonic interpreter services available to any enrollee who requests them, regardless of the prevalence of the enrollee’s language within the overall program. The AHS contracts with in-person and telephonic interpreter vendors, as well as written translation vendors on behalf of the OVHA and other departments under the AHS umbrella. The OVHA will use these vendors as necessary and will bear the cost of their services, as well as the costs associated with making American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters and Braille materials available to hearing- and vision-impaired enrollees. The OVHA shall include information in the enrollee handbook on the availability of oral interpreter services, translated written materials, and materials in alternative formats. The Global Commitment to Health enrollee handbook shall also include information on how to access such services.

  • Use of English Language This Agreement has been executed and delivered in the English language. Any translation of this Agreement into another language shall have no interpretive effect. All documents or notices to be delivered pursuant to or in connection with this Agreement shall be in the English language or, if any such document or notice is not in the English language, accompanied by an English translation thereof, and the English language version of any such document or notice shall control for purposes thereof.

  • Languages 20.1 The Proclamation of Sale, these conditions of sale and the Memorandum may have been translated and published in different forms and languages. In the event of any conflict or discrepancy between any translated version of this Agreement and the English language version, the English language version controls. Notices, designations, determinations, and specifications made under this Agreement shall be in the English language.

  • AID TO OTHER UNIONS The Employer will not aid, promote or finance any labor group or organization which purports to engage in collective bargaining or make any agreement with any such group or organization for the purpose of undermining the Union.
