Common use of Lane closure Clause in Contracts

Lane closure. 15.7.1 The Concessionaire shall not close any lane of the Project Road for undertaking maintenance or repair works except with the prior written approval of the Independent Engineer. Such approval shall be sought by the Concessionaire through a written request to be made to the Independent Engineer, and a copy thereof furnished to the Authority, at least 7 (seven) days before the proposed closure of such lane and shall be accompanied by particulars thereof. Within 3 (three) days of receiving such request, the Independent Engineer shall grant permission with such modifications as it may deem necessary and a copy of such permission shall be sent to the Authority.

Within 3 (three) days of receiving such request, the Independent Engineer shall grant permission offer a response with such modifications as it may deem necessary and a copy of such permission or rejection shall be sent to the Contracting Authority.
