Common use of Labour Disputes Clause in Contracts

Labour Disputes. 14.01 During the term of this Agreement there shall be no lockouts by the Employer, or any person acting on behalf of the Employer; nor shall there be any strike, or withdrawal of service, on the part of the Union or any of the employees. The Board shall not request, require or direct employees within this unit to perform work resulting from legal strikes which would normally be performed by those on strike, nor shall the employees within this unit be required to cross any legal union picket line resulting from a legal strike as defined in the Labour Code of British Columbia and such employee shall be deemed to be on unpaid leave.
