Laboratory Results. The laboratory will advise only the employee and the Medical Review Physician of any positive results. The results of a positive drug or alcohol test can only be released to the Employer by the Medical Review Physician once he has completed his review and analysis of the laboratory's test. The Employer will be required to keep the results confidential and it shall not be released to the general public.
Laboratory Results. The laboratory will initially advise only the employee and any Medical Review Physician as indicated by SAMHSA Standards of any positive results. The results of any positive drug or alcohol test will be released to the City by at a City approved facility once any Medical Review Physician has finished review and analysis of the laboratory’s test. Nothing in this Appendix shall prevent the City from using the results or fact of testing as evidence to defend itself, its employees or its position in any grievance, arbitration or legal proceedings.
