Kill Fee. In the event the Work is not published in any format within two years of author’s signature date of this Agreement as a result of the Publisher’s actions, decisions, or omissions, a kill fee in the amount of 30% of the payment for rights defined in Sections 1a, 1b, and 1c of this Agreement will be paid to the Author (the “Kill Fee”) unless the Author has already received payment equal to the amount defined in Section 2 of this Agreement. In the event the Work is not published through no fault of the Publisher, then the Kill Fee shall not be due. In the event that the Kill Fee is owed, this Agreement shall terminate upon payment of the Kill Fee, and the grant of rights in and to the Work shall terminate.

Kill Fee. Where a bargaining unit non-VICE payrolled employee employed by VICE to produce video for distribution on the VICE Media, LLC owned and operated digital verticals enters into a written agreement to perform work for a specific project to be broadcast on Viceland, the Company shall provide one (1) weeks’ notice, or pay in lieu thereof, if the project is cancelled prior to its scheduled or anticipated end date or publication date. If the written agreement is for less than one (1) week of work and more than (1) day, the Company shall pay out 25% of the unpaid amount of the agreed upon rate. If the written agreement is for (1) day, the Company shall pay out 50% of the unpaid amount of the agreed upon rate
Kill Fee. Under the circumstance the project/commission is canceled the client agrees to pay a kill fee of 30% of the over all commission price. This is to make sure what work and time the artist has put into the commission is compensated for. Kill Fee. If the Project or Architect’s services are terminated by the Client prior to completion, the Architect will be entitled to a kill fee constituting the amount of the project retainer. In this case, the retainer will not be deducted from the final project invoice. If the Project is terminated during the completion of an Architectural phase, the full phase will be billed, or the sum of hourly staff time invested on the phase to date will be billed at Standard Hourly Rates, whichever is lesser.
