Jury Duty Leave Amount. Supervisors shall be granted necessary time off, at their base rate of pay, when they are summoned and perform jury duty as prescribed by applicable law and provided the staff member was scheduled to work on the day(s). In no case will jury duty be granted or credited for more than the standard workday or workweek for the supervisor. An employee who regularly works the night shift will be paid for the day on which the jury duty is served, if the employee was scheduled to work that night, based on the standard day work hours for his/her job classification. The schedule in question is subject to managerial discretion. The receipt of a notice to report for jury duty must be reported immediately to the supervisor’s manager or immediate supervisor.

  • Jury Duty Leave A regular, limited-term or probationary employee who is called for jury duty or for examination for jury duty shall be compensated at the employee's regular rate of pay for those hours of absence due to the jury duty which occur during the employee's regularly scheduled working hours provided the employee deposits the employee's fees for such hours of jury duty, exclusive of mileage, with the County Treasurer. Fees for jury duty performed during hours other than regularly scheduled working hours may be retained by the employee.
