JOINT CONSULTATION. 5.1 The parties to this Agreement acknowledge the mutual benefits to be derived from joint consultation and are prepared to enter into discussions on matters of common interest; such discussions will be without prejudice to the position that the Council or the Association may wish to take in the future about the desirability of having the subjects dealt with by the provisions of collective agreements.
