Common use of Job Reassignment Clause in Contracts

Job Reassignment. An unit member who is permanently incapacitated from performing the regular duties of his/her classification as a result of an on-the-job injury, may, with the concurrence of the employing department and the injured unit member, be assigned to any job in the City structure provided the unit member meets the qualifications for any such position and the salary level is approximately the same. The appointment of an individual under this provision shall take precedence over any existing eligible lists.
