Internal Appointments. Where a pre-school teacher is internally appointed to a pre-school head teacher position, the employee will be placed on an equivalent or higher salary step than the waged step they are currently on.
Internal Appointments. Notice to an internal applicant of appointment to a new position shall be in writing, and other internal applicants for the opening shall be informed in writing that the position has been filled. District employees appointed to job openings in any equal or higher pay grade shall be placed on a step reflective of his/her experience in the new position, but in no case will the hourly rate for his/her new position be lower than his/her current hourly rate. For District employees appointed to job openings in any lower pay grade, the hourly rate of pay will be at the new pay grade, but at the same step. Final authority for any such adjustment shall rest with the Director of Human Resources.
Internal Appointments. The Local Government recognises that it may have internal applicants for vacancies. All internal applicants will be subject to the same recruitment and selection processes and pre-employment checks as external applicants.
