Intended Purpose. Employees recognize that allowable days of absence with pay are available as a protection of income to be used only when necessary, and are for personal or family medical reasons, and will use them only for the purpose for which they are intended. The Board of Education may require, at its discretion, physician's proof of illness for a prolonged (exceeding three (3) consecutive days) personal sick leave taken under this Article. Any employee returning to work following a leave of absence granted for medical reasons must have a release from his/her doctor before returning to work.
